Words Have a Way of Finding Us.
create. connect. elevate.
Jaeide X writes about voice, identity, connection, emotion, transformation, community, and the stories people carry with them. Poetry here is a way of paying attention — to a moment, to a feeling, to the things we don't always have language for.

Why I Write.
Some things only make sense once they're written down.
I write because sometimes a poem can say what a conversation cannot.
I've been writing since I was five years old.
For most of my life, writing was simply how I processed the world—how I captured thoughts, imagined possibilities, told stories, and gave shape to things I couldn't always say out loud.
But poetry found me differently.
In 2025, while navigating my own journey of healing, I began writing and reciting poetry intentionally. Words that had lived quietly inside me started asking to be spoken. Some came from pain. Some came from hope. Some came from questions I didn't yet have answers to.
I write to process. I write to remember. I write to release. I write to connect.
And sometimes, I write simply because the words won't leave me alone until I put them on the page.
These poems are part of my becoming.

Set This Fire to Applause
Featured · Spoken Word / Performance
- Self-Worth
- Healing
- Empowerment
A spoken-word declaration about reclaiming your worth, refusing to shrink, and learning to become your own source of validation. What begins in self-doubt becomes a resurrection—a woman choosing herself, embracing her scars, and bringing her own applause.
CONUNDRUM: Figure Me Out... If You Can
Featured · Spoken Word / Performance
- Identity
- Resilience
- Power
A powerful exploration of contradiction, strength, boundaries, and resilience. CONUNDRUM challenges the assumptions people make about strength, intelligence, softness, ambition, and vulnerability—and ultimately refuses to be defined by anyone else's boxes.
Broken-Hearted
Featured · Spoken Word / Poetry Performance
- Heartbreak
- Grief
- Healing
- Self-Love
A deeply personal meditation on heartbreak, ghosting, grief, and the future we imagine with someone who ultimately disappears. Beneath the performance of being “fine” is a woman learning that healing isn't the absence of pain—it's refusing to abandon herself because someone else did.
I Love So Hard
Featured · Spoken Word / Performance
- Love
- Boundaries
- Reciprocity
- Self-Love
A passionate examination of what happens when you love deeply, give generously, and realize you've been carrying relationships that were never meant to be carried alone. I Love So Hard moves from overgiving to discernment—and from asking to be chosen to finally choosing yourself.
The Poetry Collections
The Poetry Collections
Before the performances, there were pages.
Poetry has been part of my journey for years—capturing heartbreak, healing, love, becoming, desire, reflection, and everything in between. These collections hold pieces of that journey.

Scar Tissue and Sunlight
Poems From a Healing Journey
A collection of poetry about what survives the breaking.

Poems of Almost, Always, and After
Poetry written from the many places love can take us.
Read the words. Feel the journey. Then come hear them come alive.

What Lives Between the Lines.
The territory this work returns to. These are themes to explore, not a catalogue of finished pieces.

In all of its forms — chosen, inherited, and lost.

Poetry in Performance
When the Words Leave the Page.
Poetry isn't only something to read. Sometimes it needs to be heard.
A poem changes when it's spoken. Breath, pacing, and presence carry meaning that punctuation can only suggest. Jaeide X's poetry is written to be read and performed — in rooms, on stages, in recordings, and in conversation.

Spoken Word
Poetry delivered live, shaped by the room it's in.
Live Performance
Poetry as part of an event, program, or gathering.
Audio
Recorded readings made for listening closely.
Video
Poetry framed visually, with image and movement.
Conversation
Work read, then unpacked with the audience.
Collaboration
Poetry created alongside other artists and voices.
Write On The Spot
Give Me a Word. I'll Give You a Poem.
Write On The Spot is a live writing experience: someone offers a word, a name, a feeling, or a moment — and a poem is written for it, right then. Nothing prepared, nothing recycled. Just language made in real time for the person who asked.
Poetry as Story
Every Poem Carries a Story.
A poem is rarely only a poem. It's a scene, a character, a turning point. That's why this work moves easily between forms — the story stays the same, only the medium changes.

An emerging Jaeide X creative project
Poetry in Motion.
Poetry can become a visual story — where each scene is carried by spoken or written verse, creating short poetic films built around language, imagery, emotion, and movement.
Vertical Storyboard Poetry — Coming Soon
This format is in development. No episodes have been released yet.
Poetry + Community
Poetry Is a Conversation.
Words open rooms. A poem shared out loud gives people permission to share their own — to name an experience, hear a perspective they hadn't considered, and find they aren't the only one carrying it.
Create
Make something honest, in whatever form it wants to take.
Connect
Use the work to reach people, not just to be seen.
Elevate
Leave the room, and the people in it, better than you found them.
The Poetry Passport
The Words Are Going Places.
The Poetry Passport takes poetry beyond the page — into communities, cities, conversations, and encounters with poets along the way. It's poetry as a journey, documented stop by stop.
Stay
Stay for the Words.
There's more being written, performed, filmed, and shared. Explore the wider world of Jaeide X — or follow the poetry as it travels.
